Plaintiff Lin (female) and defendant Wang (male) registered their marriage on 2017 year, 10 month 10. In 2023 year 5, defendant Wang incurred substantial gambling debts and borrowed 200 ten thousand yuan from third party Li to repay those debts. Defendant Wang issued a loan receipt to Li; plaintiff Lin was unaware of this transaction and did not sign the receipt. In 2024 year 3, third party Li filed a lawsuit against both parties, requesting joint repayment of the loan of 200 ten thousand yuan plus interest. Plaintiff Lin argued that the loan was defendant Wang's personal gambling debt, not a joint marital debt, and she should not be held liable for repayment.

The court ruled that Defendant Wang shall repay the third party Li an amount of 200 ten thousand yuan plus interest within ten days from the effective date of this judgment. The claim by the third party Li requesting Plaintiff Lin to bear joint repayment liability is dismissed. Court acceptance fees shall be borne by Defendant Wang.
